Preston Pub Ramble joint with SPBW's COLAPSE Branch
Preston Pub Ramble joint with SPBW’S COLAPSE branch A trip by bus to Preston visiting some of Preston’s finest pubs and calling in on the way home to the Vestry in Tarleton and Ralf’s Wife in Banks two of our newer micro pubs in the branch. The X2 bus departs Formby Church Road Police Station 1012, Ainsdale Liverpool Road Burnley Road 1021, Southport Morrison’s 1034 and Crossenes Preston New Road Marine Drive 1054 arriving into Preston Bus Station at 1131. For members living in the Ormskirk Burscough and Rufford areas the 2A leaves Ormskirk Bus Station at 0950, Burscough 1008 and Rufford at 1019 arriving Preston Bus Station at 1108. The pubs I intend to visit in Preston are the Market Tap, Guild Ale House, Black Horse, Plug and Taps and the Moorbrook. Then get either the 2 or the X2 to the Vestry Tarleton (X2 needs about a 10 min walk from the main road) and then onto the Ralph's Wife in Banks again on either the 2 or X2. The cost of the bus ticket for those of us without a National Bus Pass will be £8.20. If members want to get home earlier then they can miss out the pubs in Tarleton and Banks by staying on the bus back to Southport. I will be available by phone on the day on 07714 265096
