An old canal side pub recently reopened under the auspices of the Holt Pub Group based in the Preston area In what was feared a pub never to reopen again after closure by Thwaites in spring 2017. The licensee says she plans to make it a hub of the community and it is ideal for rambles along the canal with the many real ale outlets in the vicinity or just watch the canal boats go along the canal from the large outside seating area or in winter sit next to the cosy real fire inside.
